Katy Perry Vows Not to Follow in Britney Spears' Breakdown

Singer Katy Perry has vowed not to follow in the footsteps of Britney Spears by letting her fame lead her to experience breakdown because of pressure.

Not wanting to have breakdown during her rising singing career, Katy Perry has vowed not to follow in the footsteps of Britney Spears who got depressed earlier this year. She stated she won't let her fame to be the main topic in her head that can lead her to have depression.

"You have to be really strong-headed to survive in this industry," Katy revealed when being asked how she would stop herself copying Britney in letting fame influence her normal life. "If you are going to get into it, lose your vices because they are not something you should have - especially if you are in the public eye."

Katy furthermore suggested herself to eat vegetables, take vitamins and "be discerning about the people that are around" her when she experienced a little bit of pressure with her own fame. "Know who is a creep and who is not, who is there for the right reasons and who is not there for the right reasons," she went on saying.

In related news, Katy recently criticized The Sun's journalist who previously had proclaimed her "out of her minds" and "glamorizing knives." She posted a message on her blog, dated on October 24, 2008, revealing, "Dear Sun: You deserve a time out. Your 'journalistic' approach has half the soul of the National Enquirer. Shame on you."
