Zac Efron Modeled His Hair After Ellen DeGeneres

Paying a visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Zac Efron revealed that his haircut is inspired by Ellen DeGeneres' haircut she sported on season 2 of her talk show.

Coming to The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday, October 28, Zac Efron fessed up who inspired his haircut. Using the moment to tell the truth, the young star revealed that Ellen DeGeneres, the talk show host, is actually the one who inspired him to have such a haircut.

During talk show which is scheduled to air on Thursday, October 30, he said to DeGeneres, "I actually modeled it [after] Ellen season 2." Being asked by DeGeneres if Efron was copying her style, the star of "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" shortly answered, "I am in fact."

Pointing out his windswept hair style, Efron said that he was too lazy to have haircut. As a result of the answer, Efron received a haircut offer from Ellen as the host quickly pulled out clipper and said, "Would you cut it?" Ellen in addition explained, "That would be a big deal if you had a brand-new, short haircut, because people then would want to do that."

Though hesitant at the beginning, Efron then went for it saying, "Do you want to take a little off the back? It's a little long actually." Later, Efron found out that the haircutting offer was just Ellen's part of humor to enliven the atmosphere of the program. "No, there's no blade in it," DeGeneres said jokingly. "It was just to scare you. It's Halloween and I like to scare people." The video of Efron's appearance on the show can be seen below.

The 21-year-old star's hair style also became the hot topic in another part of the the talk show. Through a confession from DeGeneres, Efron's girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens, also discussed about Efron's windswept hair. The host revealed the discussion, "Vanessa was here a few days ago and she said she actually prefers it slicked back more with stuff in it." she added further, "But then it's hard for her to put her hands in your hair because it's to full of stuff. She prefers it slicked back just to let you know."
