David Beckham 'Proud' of Being Labeled 'Gayest Straight Man in Britain'
When asked about being labeled "Gayest Straight Man in Britain," David Beckham confessed he likes and is "proud" of the title. The L.A. Galaxy star even felt honored to be considered as gay icon in his country.

"Yes, I like that. When someone said that about me, it made me laugh and I was quite proud of it," David revealed when referring to the title which is given for him. "To have that kind of effect on so many different people around the world, I was honored. When people talk to me about being a gay icon I think of it as a great honor."

"Gayest Straight Man in Britain" is not the only title which has been attached to David as the soccer ace is also labeled the "Blackest White Man." When being asked about the predicate, he acknowledged he likes it because it has made him laugh.

Also considered as a fashion icon, David recently told GQ magazine he never regrets any of his fashion choices. He said, "If I see something I like I wear it. No matter what I think people are going to say about me. I don't do it for a statement, I do it because I like wearing different things."

Previously, David has been reported to have been scared of loosing his superstar look. A source revealed he would do anything to maintain his appearance. "David has turned crazy insecure. He is constantly telling Victoria [Adams] he is scared of going bald, or if he spots a hint of a paunch on his midsection then he hits the gym for an hour," the source stated.
