Often becoming "the hero" in his movies, Colin Farrell admitted he is tired of playing such characters. He insisted he likes bad guy characters much more like the one he plays in his new movie "Pride and Glory." Portraying the character of Jimmy Egan in the crime drama movie, the actor confessed the role was a breath of fresh air for him.
"It did get a bit tiring trying to play the hero," Colin revealed when being asked about his new character in "Pride and Glory." "I find it a lot more interesting to walk with a less heroic gait these days. It's a lot more cool to play the bad guy I think," he continued.
Having "Pride and Glory" released on theaters on October 24, 2008, Colin was last seen attending a photo-call to promote the movie at the hotel Costes in Paris, France on Thursday, October 30. He was snapped posing for camera wearing a fedora.
As for his personal life, Colin previously acknowledged that drinks and drugs have nearly killed him. "It was a fairly drunken life for 16 years so it was a tough life change, but I was dying and I'm one of the lucky ones in that so far I'm out of it," he stated. "For me there was no choice. I was pretty sick. I went away for five or six weeks and that was a very safe environment and I began to come out of the haze that I had burrowed myself into so deeply," he went on saying.
