Nick Jonas stars in a Public Service Announcement, which was aired on Disney Channel on Sunday, November 2, to talk about diabetes.
Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers has been very outspoken about going through life with diabetes. And he has recently taken a break on the set of his new Disney Channel series "J.O.N.A.S." to tape a Public Service Announcement on Juvenile Diabetes.
The 16-year-old Jonas opens the PSA as he is seen playing his guitar. He then talks about the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and how to learn more about the disease. The PSA was aired on Disney Channel on Sunday, November 2.
Nick Jonas was diagnosed with diabetes three years ago. His oldest brother Kevin Jonas has previously revealed that the diagnosis has changed their family. "It was hard for all of us. When it first happened we were sitting in our house and we didn't understand what diabetes was. So immediately we went to Wikipedia and searched it online to understand what diabetes meant," said the 20-year-old Jonas.
"Once we understood that he was going to be OK, we were way more comforted and immediately wanted to go see him," he revealed. "He's doing really well with it and there's times when we have to be there for each other and with Nick's diabetes there are times that you can't control it. And we just have to be there."
