Teen actress Selena Gomez doesn't agree with Carrie Underwood's political view that celebrities shouldn't endorse politicians.
Disney darling
Selena Gomez doesn't exactly agree with country cutie
Carrie Underwood that celebrities shouldn't endorse politicians. The 16-year-old just thinks that celebrities "have to be aware" of what they are saying.
"A lot of people do look up to certain celebrities and will follow in their footsteps," the "Wizards of Waverly Place" star told E! Online. "I think you just have to be aware of what you're saying," added the actress, who is rumored to be dating
Nick Jonas of the
Jonas Brothers.
Carrie recently revealed to TV Guide that she has lost all respect for celebrities who back a candidate. "There is someone I do support, but I don't support publicly. I lose all respect for celebrities when they back a candidate," the "Last Name" songstress said.
But Selena has her own opinion about it, saying "I'm glad that people are getting involved with the election. This election has been the biggest with celebrities." And the teen actress confessed she doesn't know who she would choose if she were to vote today. "I'm not really sure who I would pick to run our country," she added to E! Online. "It's kind of nice not to be able to vote, because I may not be as ready to as I will be in the future."
