R'n'B singing sensations Rihanna and Chris Brown are among winners at the 2008 American Music Awards. The Barbados-born singer has picked up two awards, while the "With You" crooner has won three statuettes.
Wearing an ivory colored strapless short dress, Rihanna wins statuettes for favorite female artist in soul/R&B and pop/rock categories. The 20-year-old singer has also performed her latest single "Rehab" live at the 36th Annual AMAs held at Nokia Theatre on Sunday, November 23.
But Chris is the evening's big winner. He's named artist of the year and favorite male artist in both the pop/rock and soul/R&B categories. "I would've gave it to Coldplay," the 19-year-old singer says of the night's big prize. "I'm at a loss for words."
Beside Rihanna and Chris, other winners include Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Jordin Sparks, Taylor Swift and Jonas Brothers. Visit to see the full winners of 2008 American Music Awards.
