Actress Winona Ryder is at the center of attention regarding the heist of $125,000 worth of Bulgari diamonds on loan to the actress for a Marie Claire event in Spain on November 24. Marie Claire had lent the star of "Girl, Interrupted" a Bulgari diamond-encrusted bracelet and a ring to wear as well as a dress, shoes and some other things to wear for the awards ceremony appearance, but only the jewels are missing.
Ryder conveyed the items missing after she claimed that she went to the front desk at the hotel and gave the jewelry to front desk. French magazine Voici reported that the hotel bosses have yet been able to prove the actress' claim through surveillance camera. Bulgari executives have delivered the case to the police for investigation.
The actress has not been called by the police, while, a representative for Winona has yet to give comment about the case. Furthermore, Bulgari representatives also have refused to address the reports or confirm the loss of the jewels.
Some sources said that that Ryder checked out of the hotel around 6 A.M. and left everything in her hotel room, including the jewels and the other stuffs when no one from Marie Claire was there to collect the things. The dress and other material things were found there, but the jewels had gone.
