Hugh Jackman admitted that being rumored as a gay in young age, he could attach with girls more easily.

Hugh Jackman isn't offended when people assumed him as a gay in his youth, instead he admitted that it gave advantage for him to act like a "vulture" and pick up single girls. The rumor swirled when he performed as gay performer Peter Allen in a Broadway production of "The Boy from Oz."
Jackman gives the reason about his advantage of gay rumor, saying "I probably shouldn't be saying this, but I remember when I was about 19, me and my mate used to go to these dance parties that were 80 percent gay guys, 18 percent girls who were sick of heterosexual guys hitting on them, and then vultures like me and my mate." He further stated, "We would go there until two in the morning, when the girls were really drunk and wishing they weren't with 80 percent gay guys. (I was) The worst! The leech! The vulture!".
Although the star initially enjoyed the rumor, he thinks that judging based on sexuality is improper. About that matter, he said, "I just think the whole idea of judging someone based on their sexuality is ridiculous. In Australia, we're much easier on all those fronts. I was playing a gay guy. I actually took it as a compliment."
