Selena Gomez apparently wants a new challenge to her career in entertainment industry. The Disney cutie has revealed she would love to play darker roles in the future. The teen actress even admitted she would love to play a role like Angelina Jolie's junkie schizophrenic character in 1999's movie "Girl, Interrupted".
Selena knows she won't stay with Disney forever. Therefore, the 16-year-old girl wants something new to her acting career in the future. "I can't stay with Disney forever, however much I love it. If I could play any role it would be Angelina Jolie's character, Lisa, in Girl Interrupted - she was fantastic in that film," she said.
Meanwhile, the "Wizards of Waverly Place" starlet is working on an album, which will be released next summer. But Selena confessed she really wants to focus on films in the future, because acting is her "first love".
"I'm looking forward to releasing the album - it's going to be music for everyone, for adults and kids to jump around to," the teen sensation revealed. "My first love is acting though, that is where my heart is, and I really want to focus on films in the future," added Selena.
