The photographer, Luis Santana, is suing Rihanna and Chris Brown for $1 million after he was allegedly beaten by the singers' bodyguards in May.
Rihanna and her rumored beau
Chris Brown are reportedly facing legal action from a photographer who's demanding compensation after he was allegedly beaten by the singers' bodyguards for taking their picture. On Tuesday, December 2, the photographer, Luis Santana, has filed a $1 million lawsuit in Florida, claiming the R'n'B singing sensations' bodyguards forced him to the ground and stole his $3,000 camera outside the Vintage Ultra Lounge in St. Petersburg, where Chris celebrated his 19th birthday back in May.
According to Luis, he snapped a picture of Rihanna and Chris through their limousine window on May 6. However, bodyguards for the singers allegedly attacked him and took his camera. And now the photographer is asking for compensation for his stolen camera, as well as his own personal injuries and distress, according to The St. Petersburg Times.
About Luis' lawsuit, the Barbadian singer's publicist has called it a "really unfortunate event". "I do believe that this matter is completely blown out of proportion and I strongly believe that we need to focus on the positive things in the world - not the negative things... Sadly, we are living in a full-blown recession during this holiday season of giving - so let us try to give attention to the positive things in the world and focus on God and our families," her publicist said.
