Inspired by 2007 movie musical "Dreamgirls", in which Beyonce Knowles played a sixties singer in the style of Diana Ross, Cheryl Cole together with her Girls Aloud's bandmates performed their Christmas musical show. On the show, they wore glamorous skin tight and silver fishtail gowns.
The all-girl band that consists of Cole, Sarah Harding, Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts held musical performance entitled "The Girls Aloud Party". The show will be aired on ITV1 on Saturday, December 13.
An insider commented about Girls Aloud's show, saying "It seemed fitting to have the girls record this special in the very same studio where all their careers began six years ago on Popstars: The Rivals." The source also added, "The show is a true Girls Aloud Christmas party and loads of fun."
"The Girls Aloud Party" also featured the girls' collaborations with Kaiser Chiefs and James Morrison. Other names like Cilla Black, Paul O'Grady and Julie Goodyear were also involved in the show.
