Katy Perry feels sorry for calling Lily Allen 'fat', suggesting Allen not to take the joke seriously since Perry considers she tried to be funny.
Singer
Katy Perry has chosen to fly a white flag regarding her feud with British star
Lily Allen. The "I Kissed a Girl" songstress apologized to Allen on Wednesday, December 10 at the taping of Fuse's "The Good, the Bad & the Britney" for describing her as a fat person.
About her unkind saying to the British singer, Perry said, "Yeah, I made a joke about that earlier this year." Although calling it as a joke, she seemed to justify her act, revealing "I was just kind of joking and trying to be funny. I didn't mean anything by it. Comedians are not necessarily to be taken super seriously."
Lily Allen told Britain's radio Capital Fm last week about her anger at Katy Perry for calling her "fat" in the past. Of it, she said, "I happen to know for a fact that she was an American version of me," reasoning "She was signed by my label in America as, 'We need to find something controversial and kooky like Lily Allen.' And then they found her."
Allen told the media the reason she was mad at Perry, explaining "When I met her I was bit frosty with her because someone asked her to describe herself. She's like, 'Aha, I'm like a fatter version of
Amy Winehouse and a skinner version of Lily Allen!" She then asked Perry through the radio to keep quiet for unable to write her own songs and not coming from England.
