In an interview with L.A. Times, Brad Pitt shares his new understanding, including on finding real love, about how being with Angelina Jolie has changed his life, and on age versus youth. He admits that he has got the new perspective after portraying the title character in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button".
About finding real love, Pitt reveals to the publication that he faces the risk of greater loss because he loves his family very much, saying "It's a tragedy in the sense that any love involves loss, and that's the risk you take." He adds, "And the greater the love, the greater the loss. I certainly feel that now with the woman I'm with, and the children that I have." Aside from feeling of loss, Pitt really values spending time with family because "this time together is extraordinary".
The long-term partner of Jolie also confesses that being with his partner has changed his life. He calls the change as "a natural evolution, a natural direction". He explained, "[Fatherhood is] the direction I always thought I would go in. But not until, with Angie and it felt like a natural evolution, a natural direction."
Furthermore, Pitt also opens up about age versus youth. Turning 45 years old on December 18, he has some personal perception referring to his age. The actor states, "Once you hit 40, you start reexamining the math of it all...." If he can run his time back like the character in "Benjamin Button", he opts to be young as he says, "I'll trade wisdom for youth any day."
