Eva Longoria claims that she is a very old fashioned housewife. The actress, who is married to Tony Parker, shares to the February Man Issue of Glamour about her traditional marriage life style, including their roles as husband and wife. Not only speaking about her marriage, but she also shares her advice for single woman.
When it comes to marriage life style, Longoria admits that she is "really a very '50s housewife". She explains, "I love having dinner ready and making sure his clothes are ironed and that he's packed and ready when he goes on road trips." The 33-year-old star then compares Parker's role in marriage to her role, revealing, "I'm the gardener [in our relationship]. I definitely nurture. [Tony] is the flower. But there are times when Tony takes care of me--in an emotional sense, like, okay, let me take the reins on this one. But I love to take care of him."
The star of "Desperate Housewives" claims that she loves tradition, reasoning, "It's romantic." The beauty also says that Parker doesn't care with tradition. The Texas-born star adds, "I take it day by day. Tony and I would love to be together forever. But the only way you get to forever is one day at a time."
Longoria also advises single women how to find love. "Just get out there and meet people. I think sometimes women are stuck in a type," she utters. "I've never dated the same type. I fall in love with personalities, and they come in different packages."
Eva Longoria got married with Tony Parker, a NBA basketball star, in Paris on July 7, 2007. They had a short honeymoon in the Caribbean Turks and Caicos Islands before Longoria returned to work. In October, she reportedly wanted to move to France, Parker's native country, if she quit acting. The Hollywood star mentioned, "I feel at home when I go there. So for me to actually be there is always a joy."
