Ed Westwick has a problem in handling his nervous feeling. The actor talks to U.K. magazine, Reveal, about his experience when he met David Beckham at a Manchester United party in NYC. Instead of greeting and shaking hands with the football player, the 21-year-old star just ran out and didn't say anything to him when they were in restroom.

To the publication, Westwick reveals, "[The soiree] was so grand David Bowie was sitting at the next table and [I] shook hands with George Clooney." The "Gossip Girl" star continues saying, "Then I went to the toilet and there was David Beckham. I couldn't say anything, I just ran out. A friend tried to persuade me to say, 'Hello,' but I couldn't do it." Commenting about the occasion, he says, "It was ridiculous."

Westwick also shares to Reveal about his secret that he idolizes Beckham. "I had a Beckham shirt when I was a kid, and he was the one I watched growing up," he reveals. Even though he admires Victoria Adams' husband very much, he believes that he would be tongue tied if he met him again. "I just can't go up to him," he reveals. "I can't do it."
