Paris Hilton Denies Shopping Style Reports
Australian newspapers have claimed that spent $5560 on 31 dresses and a bikini in 40 minutes. For that reason, some charity organizations slam the 27-year-old star for her $140-a-minute spree. They believe that amount of money will be more useful if it's used to help thousands of needy people.

According to Open Family social worker Les Twentyman, Hilton's shopping style is "obscene". He says, "It is quite obscene spending money like that. Some people are homeless and thousands of people a week are losing their jobs and it is quite obscene in some ways."

The hotel heiress also get rough comment from World Vision Australia chief Tim Costello. "In World Vision terms, $5000 would ensure that a village of 2000 people in Africa or Asia would have clean water for the rest of their lives," Costello reveals.

Responding to their attack, Hilton denies the reports, insisting she just "bought five dresses, not 31". She reveals, "I actually bought five dresses, not 31." The Hollywood beauty also suggests any girl that they can do the same "if they want to". She says, "I work hard and any girl should be able to spend money on themselves if they want to."

Paris Hilton went to Chapel Street shops in Melbourne after she arrived in Australia with her sister Nicky Hilton ahead of their appearance at the Bongo Virus New Year's Eve party in Sydney. Getting a 50 per cent discount from designer Wayne Cooper, the actress cleaned out the designer's racks, buying 31 dresses and a bikini for the bargain price of 5560 in 40 minutes, according to some reports.
