Alex James Predicts Amy Winehouse Wouldn't Live Past 2010
Alex James has launched surprising confession to Daily Mirror about and Pete Doherty. The bassist states that he would be surprised if he would see them in 2010. According to James, it's very difficult for them to survive if they are still trapped in drugs.

"I'd be surprised if Pete Doherty and Amy Winehouse both live to see the decade out," James says. "You know, it's not funny. I've been in situations where my best friends have been killing themselves [with drugs] and they won't listen." Furthermore, he also adds that they would need support from people around her to recover from drugs.

The Blur member gives example about celebrity who died because of drugs. He confesses that Presley would "be alive" if "infrastructure" existed at his period. The 40-year-old musician reveals, "At least there's an infrastructure for getting better now. If that had existed in Elvis's day then maybe he'd still be alive. It is scary."

Meanwhile, Alex James has supported an anti-cocaine photography exhibition. Besides, he also has recorded a BBC documentary which focused on the impact of the South American drug trade in Columbia.
