If the New York Post report is true, Jennifer Hudson will get a chance to perform the National Anthem at President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration. The newspaper reported on Monday, December 31 that the former "American Idol" star is being courted to sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the inauguration on January 20.
"Organizers want Jennifer to sing 'The Star-Spangled Banner' at the Inauguration on Jan. 20," the New York Post's source said. "They are talking to Jennifer about it. It would be the first time she performed since the murders. She is from Chicago and a huge Obama supporter."
Jennifer's representative has not commented on the report. But the 27-year-old singer performed the National Anthem at the Democratic National Convention in Denver back in August 2008.
