Katy Perry told reporters that her vow of celibacy was "a joke", adding she may be less active.
hasn't really taken a vow of celibacy this year. During a conference call with reporters on Thursday, January 22, the "I Kissed a Girl" hitmaker revealed her celibacy vow was only "a joke".
"I am not going to be celibate," the 24-year-old singer, who recently split from rocker
Travis McCoy, told reporters. "That was a joke, and any fine journalist would have got that," she explained.
She furthermore added, "Please, celibacy for the whole year? I'd rather die." But Katy, who describes herself as a "prankster and jokester", may be less active, saying, "I guess I am just going to be looking for the right one."
Katy Perry recently announced to TV Guide that she's taken . "I've actually taken a vow of celibacy this year," she told TV Guide. "No kissing anyone. Just my cat, Kitty Purry."
