Kate Winslet is over the moon as she wins Best Actress at the 2009 Orange British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards held at the Royal Opera House on Sunday, February 8. The 33-year-old beauty picks up the award for her role in "The Reader".
Accepting the award on stage, Kate says, "This really means a great deal to me." During her acceptance speech, the actress also thanks everybody involved in the making of the film, friends and family.
And Kate isn't the only one who is over the moon that night. Actor Mickey Rourke is very happy when his name is announced as Best Actor for his role in "The Wrestler". Delivering his acceptance speech on stage, the actor makes the crowd laugh.
Meanwhile, Danny Boyle's "Slumdog Millionaire" is named Best Film. The film wins seven prizes at the 2009 BAFTA Awards.
