Rihanna's 21st birthday bash, which was initially slated to be held on February 20 in New York City, has reportedly been canceled.
Rihanna was said to have planned on celebrating her 21st birthday on February 20 with "a big, splashy party" in New York City. However, her music label has reportedly canceled the bash, which it had been putting together for about a month, reports E! Online.
A source familiar with the planning reveals Rihanna's 21st birthday bash was planned to have a carnival theme with various "sideshow" attractions. There were about 200 people to be invited to the party.
The source also says that Ciroc vodka had been planning to sign on as the leading sponsor. "They were talking about it being at Gotham Hall, but I don't think it was definite just yet," the source explains.
According to reports, Rihanna has been identified as alleged victim in
Chris Brown's assault. Law enforcement told TMZ that her injuries were severe, two "huge contusions" which swelled up on both sides of her forehead and "a bloody lip and nose."
