Rapper, Nas, will be a daddy again soon. Walking on the red carpet of the 51st annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 8, Nas confirmed that his wife, Kelis, is pregnant with their first child.
US Weekly claimed that Kelis is in her first trimester and already shown a little bump. Nas further mentioned that he and Kelis will know the sex of their forthcoming baby next week. "Yeah, man, I find out what it's gonna be next week, so I'm happy," said the rapper, who also has a 15-year-old daughter, Destiny, from his previous relationship. "I got another one coming in '09, yeah! That's what's up!"
Along with the pregnancy news, Nas confirmed that he will produce a new album this year. He is collaborating with Damian Marley for the new music project, which profits will be used to build schools in Africa. As Nas stated, "We're tryin' to show love and stuff with this album. So, the record's ... all about really the 'hood and Africa also as well. That's coming out real soon."
Last year, Nas and Kelis showed up to the Grammys walking the red carpet wearing the clothing emblazoned with the N-word. A year later, Nas' untitled album was up for Best Rap Album. There is no release date yet for the new album.
