Usher's Wife Recovering From Cardiac and Respiratory Arrest

Based on the report of Brazilian local media reports, it is known now that Usher's wife, Tameka Foster, actually suffered cardiac and respiratory arrest as she was being anesthetized for cosmetic surgery. According to Brazilian news website G1, Tameka was rushed to the Sirio-Libanes Hospital in Brazil on Friday, February 6 to get an intensive care after a medical emergency during a liposuction operation.

A spokeswoman for the Sirio-Libanes Hospital said, "The family has demanded total privacy. The hospital is barred from giving any information." Moreover, the US neuro-surgeon from the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Gabriel Hunt, who was handling Tameka's health, left the hospital last Monday without giving any comment.

Tameka was reportedly in induced coma for 24 hours, but she is currently in recovery. Her husband, Usher was "forced" to cancel his performance at Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party last Saturday, February 7 night since his wife suffered complications.
