Comparing herself with Marilyn Monroe and Princess Diana, Paris Hilton insisted that she should be an icon of the decade.

Paris Hilton, has announced herself as "Icon of Decade." She compared herself to fellow blondes such as
Marilyn Monroe and Princess Diana as the women's timeless influence on pop culture pictures her own.
"There's nobody in the world like me," Hilton told E! Online, adding, "I think every decade has an iconic blonde, like Marilyn Monroe or Princess Diana and, right now, I'm that icon." The star, who recently promoted ITV2 show "Paris Hilton's British Best Friend," was nicknamed Marilyn Monroe by her grandmother as a child.
In addition to her proposal to be an icon of the decade, the "Stars Are Blind" singer admitted that she has a crush on Aussie pop singer,
Kylie Minogue, and mentioned that Kylie was the inspiration behind her upcoming second album. She said, "I haven't met her but I love her. She's so hot."
