Words are swirling that Madonna will be involved in the "Twilight" sequel, "New Moon". And now a source close to the production reveals to Entertainment Weekly that the rumors may be only partly true.
According to EW, Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the movie series, has no plans to cast the 50-year-old singer in "New Moon". However, since Madonna's manager, Guy Oseary, is a producer on the project, there's reportedly some talk of her providing songs for the sequel. But no deals have been made yet.
The production of "New Moon" is scheduled to begin in mid-March. To be directed by Chris Weitz, the flick will see the return of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene, Taylor Lautner and other original stars. It is scheduled for U.S. release on November 20.
