At the Academy Awards on February 22, Anne Hathaway is reportedly to be the host of the ceremony along with Hugh Jackman.
Oscar nominee,
Anne Hathaway, will join a singing-and-dancing number together with host
Hugh Jackman at the opening of the Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday, February 22, as being reported by Life & Style. "Anne is rehearsing at the Kodak Theatre [site of the Oscars] in Hollywood today (February 19)!" an insider told Life & Style.
In related news to the Academy Awards, it was reportedly announced on February 18 that
Beyonce Knowles would perform in the ceremony, and so do movie couples
Zac Efron and
Vanessa Hudgens from "High School Musical". Also,
Amanda Seyfried and
Dominic Cooper from "
Mamma Mia!" would likely to make a contribution at the ceremony.
This is the first Academy Award nomination for the actress, nominated as the Best Actress for her acting in Jonathan Demme's "
Rachel Getting Married". Hathaway started her acting debut in Disney's family comedy "The Princess Diaries". In the coming years, she continued to star in several movies, such as "
Ella Enchanted", "The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement", "
The Devil Wears Prada", "
Becoming Jane", and "
Get Smart".
