Although she was offered to revisit her role as Aunt Dolly, Dolly Parton apparently has no part in the movie.
Dolly Parton has stated that she won't get involved in the upcoming "
Hannah Montana: The Movie". "I'm not in the movie," the country legend said, adding, "I wish I had been."
Parton mentioned that producers had asked her if she would 're-play' her recurring role as Aunt Dolly on the film, which will be released in U.S. theaters on April 10, along with
Miley Cyrus. "I said I would love to! I assumed that they were gonna be writing me a part," she mentioned in a recent interview. But her character eventually wasn't included in the script.
The 63-year-old singer stated that acting on the TV show was "probably the best move she's ever made". Parton further said that little kids still came to her all the time, saying, "Hi, Aunt Dolly!".
This year Parton is gonna promote the 75th anniversary of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park this year and she has written a musical at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., entitled "Sha-Kon-O-Hey!" which means "Land of Blue Smoke" in the Cherokee.
