One day before releasing a statement, Rihanna was spotted in Los Angeles for the first time since her alleged assault by Chris Brown.

Chris Brown. During her night out on Thursday, February 19, the 21-year-old singer looked solemn while being driven in the backseat of a vehicle.
Rihanna has also spoken out for the first time since her alleged attack by Chris, issuing a statement of thanks to her fans. "At the request of the authorities, Rihanna is not commenting about the incident involving Chris Brown," says the statement from her rep on Friday, February 20. "She wants to assure her fans that she remains strong, is doing well, and deeply appreciates the outpouring of support she has received during this difficult time."
Meanwhile, Rihanna's father, Ronald Fenty, told Us Weekly that is "disturbing" but helps people "grasp the situation a lot better." He said, "It's good and it's bad to see the picture because there's other people who were thinking differently, that [Rihanna's injuries] may not be that bad, just a little spank or a little thing."
