Nicole Richie, Joel Madden Expecting Baby Number 2

Just over a year after the birth of their first daughter, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden announce that they are expecting their second child.

"The Simple Life" star Nicole Richie and "Good Charlotte" rocker Joel Madden are expecting another child a year after the arrival of their daughter, Harlow Winter Kate Madden. In a post entitled "Better than winning an OSCAR!" at Good Charlotte's official website, Madden stated, "I am so happy to tell everyone that Harlow is going to be a big sister! God has truly blessed my family." He then added, "Hope [you're] all feeling as good as i am right now."

Joel Madden (29) dated Nicole Richie (27) since December 2006. The couple got their first daughter, Harlow Winter Kate Madden on January 11, 2008. At that time, Richie told People expressing her happiness due to the birth of her first child. "She gives life a whole new meaning," Richie mentioned.

Just few weeks after Harlow's birth, Madden shared his feeling about being a new father. "Being a father is nothing you can plan for. You've got to take it one day at a time, and there's no manual or anything like that. It's not a conscious change, it just happens to you all of a sudden," Madden confirmed to MTV News. "We had Harlow, and suddenly our priorities changed. We've both done a lot in our lives, had a lot of fun, but now it's time to be parents, which is a different kind of fun. The priority is our daughter and the kind of family we build around her."
