Nicole Richie and Joel Madden Plan to Get Hitched

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are set to tie the knot while they are waiting for the birth of their second child.

Nicole Richie and boyfriend Joel Madden are reportedly set to wed before the birth of their second child. The couple is seriously thinking about making their relationship official and their family is really expecting it, In Touch Weekly reported.

"They are old-fashioned in some ways. Now their second baby is coming, they both want to make it legal," a close friend of the twosome says. Richie has also already prepared the perfect dress for the marriage ceremony, a vintage Yves Saint Laurent gown. "It's been hanging in the back of her closet. She always planned to wear it on a very special occasion," the source adds.

The plan of the wedding has really been welcomed by Richie's father, Lionel Richie, who becomes the last person to know about the lovers' plan. "I'm the first one to pay for it and the last one to know!" he jokes.

Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden began dating "The Simple Life" star Nicole Richie since December 2006. The twosome welcomed their first daughter called as Harlow Winter Kate Madden in January 2008. Last month, Madden announced the second pregnancy of his girlfriend at his website. "I am so happy to tell everyone that Harlow is going to be a big sister! God has truly blessed my family," he shared. "Hope [you're] all feeling as good as i am right now."
