Michael Jackson announces the schedule of his return concerts at the press conference held on March 5.
Michael Jackson finally announced at the press conference held on Thursday, March 5 that he will perform 10 shows at London's O2 arena starting on July 8. "I love you very much," Jacko told thousands of his screaming fans. "This is it."
The King of Pop also revealed that upcoming concerts will be his "final curtain call" for marking his retirement from music industry. "I just want to say that these will be my final show performances in London. This will be it. When I say this is it, it really means this is it," the 50-year-old Moonwalker continued. "I'll be performing the songs my fans want to hear...this is the final curtain call. I'll see you in July."
The news about Jacko's return arose while the show's promoters, AEG Live, release statements to the Billboard Music & Money Symposium in New York City. "The man is very sane, the man is very focused, the man is very healthy," AEG President and CEO, Tim Leiweke, told Billboard. "I think he has been dragged through the mud." It was said that each show will spend 1 million dollars, E! Online reported.
