Taylor Swift has admitted how she struggled for being herself when she was in high school. The country singer revealed that she and her close friends weren't cool at all, so they got a crown as the "weirdest girls" in school.

"The best thing you can do in school is to not try to be too cool. My friends and I took pride in the fact that we were the weirdest girls at our school," the 19-year-old star confirmed to Tiger Beat magazine. "We never fit in with the cool girls because we didn't really care what people thought."

The "Tim McGraw" singer then confessed that she and pals always dressed differently from most of friends. "We had so much fun goofing off and being being crazy. We would go out to dinner in our prom dress, accessorized with scarves, fingerless gloves and costume jewelry," she told the magazine. "Sometimes we'd draw a beauty mark on our faces, wear a tiara and funny slippers. We didn't care!"

In related news, Taylor Swift has just been nominated for album of the year for her album "Fearless" at Academy of Country Music on Thursday, March 5. The 44th annual ACM Awards will be broadcast live on CBS from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 5.
