Rihanna's lawyer, Donald Etra, reveals that his client "is planning to do everything that the law requires her to do."
Rihanna's lawyer, Donald Etra, reveals to Us Weekly that the Barbados-born singer could wind up testifying in the felony assault case against
Chris Brown. "She is planning to do everything that the law requires her to do," says Etra. "If she is required to testify, she will do so."
The "Umbrella" hitmaker wasn't present as the 19-year-old hunk appeared at L.A. Superior Court after with two felonies, assault and making criminal threats. When asked by the Judge if Rihanna requested an official order to stop contact between she and Chris, Etra indicated his client "does not want such an order."
"The fact is, Rihanna desires that it be quick and expeditious," Rihanna's lawyer tells Us Weekly. "She wants to get back to her life and her career," adds the lawyer. "She is doing fine. She really appreciates the love and support of her fans."
But Etra refused to comment on reports that Chris is taking . "That is best addressed to his attorney," he said. "It would be inappropriate to comment on the nature of their relationship. We are not going to discuss that. Rumors are gossip. There is no point. Idle rumors are gossip, for which there is no basis."
