Less than three months after getting engaged, Geri Halliwell has reportedly ended her engagement to Italian tycoon Fabrizio Politi.
Geri Halliwell has split from her fiance Fabrizio Politi less than three months after getting engaged, reports The Sun. The former
Spice Girls member met the Italian tycoon in a nightclub last December and they got engaged in Italy over Christmas.
But Geri has reportedly ended the engagement after she, according to a source, "woke up one morning last week and decided she just wasn't the marrying type". The source added, "She loved being in a relationship but decided that all she needs is her daughter Bluebell to keep her happy."
"Fabrizio is upset but totally respects Geri's wishes," the source revealed. However, Geri's friends are said to be not surprised at the news. "Her friends are not surprised - Geri has a track record for getting cold feet," said the source.
A rep for Geri Halliwell previously announced the star's engagement to Fabrizio Politi, saying "We are delighted to announce the engagement of Geri Halliwell and Fabrizio Politi. As a token of their commitment to each other Fabrizio presented Geri with an engagement ring over the festive season."
Her rep furthermore explained, "There are no immediate plans for marriage as the couple are enjoying their engagement."
