Christian Siriano: Mariah Carey Is Overly Sexy

"Project Runway" 4th season's winner Christian Siriano says that Mariah Carey is a fashion victim. He confirms that he wants to save the unique style of the "We Belong Together" singer.

"I think she's so fabulous and she's such a superstar, but she's never been a fashion icon," he told OK! Magazine during the launching of USA Network's "American Character: A Photographic Journey" held on Thursday, March 12 at Stephan Weiss Gallery in N.Y.C. "She's more of a music icon. I feel like if she wore amazing haute couture, she'd be even bigger than she is now."

The American fashion designer then admitted that the 38-year-old star is overly sexy. "I feel like she likes to be overly sexy," he stated. "I don't think she needs to be. I think she could wear jeans and a jacket and a blouse, and be fabulous. I think covered up, she would still be amazing because she is amazing."

Siriano also commented on Carey who always uses tight clothes. "Tightwise her clothes are OK," he said. "It depends. Not always. It's not all the time, just every now and then."
