Actress Natasha Richardson has died, a spokesman for the family said. The 45-year-old star died on Wednesday, March 18 after suffering head injuries from a fall on a Canadian ski slope on Monday, March 16, People reports.

Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha," her family released a statement. "They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time."
Natasha Richardson is the daughter of legendary actress Vanessa Redgrave. She rose to international stardom with her Tony award-winning performance as Sally Bowles in the musical play "Cabaret" in New York City on Broadway in 1998.
