Ukrainian model and actress Olga Kurylenko will always arrange her expenses and refuse to spend money for stuff she doesn't need. The "Quantum of Solace" star was poverty-stricken when she was a child. Financial problems that she experienced in her young age have made her "very cash conscious".
One valuable lesson that the 29-year-old beauty has learned from her childhood is to have only several shoes instead of collecting lots of them. "I refused to go to school because my shoes had no soles. My mother insisted that I go, so I took a needle and thread and stitched the shoes so that my toes wouldn't poke out at the end," she recalls. "By the time I got to school the stitches had come out and my feet were on show. It was very upsetting. But those experiences taught me a lot about money. It's not important in my life. I don't really think about it at all. Because I grew up with nothing I have no extravagances. I don't want hundreds of shoes...just a few pairs that don't need stitching up."
In related news, Olga Kurylenko was spotted in Hampshire, England on Monday, March 23 for filming her new flick "Centurion". She plays Etain, a Pict warrior woman, who has her tongue cut out by Roman soldiers. Commenting on her Pict warrior character, Kurylenko says that her role is "quite furious...she is an animal".
