Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift Among 2009 ACM Awards Winners

The winners of 44th Academy of Country Music Awards have been announced. Carrie Underwood and young country singer Taylor Swift were among winners at the annual event, which was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday evening, April 5.

Underwood became fans' favorite as she was named Top Female Vocalist. She also got an award for Entertainer of the Year, beating out Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, and George Strait.

Meanwhile, Swift grabbed an Album of the Year award for her debut effort "Fearless". During the event, she also received a special ACM Crystal Milestone Award. "Are you serious?" she exclaimed as she got the award. "To you guys who come to my show. I have absolutely fallen in love with you and will never forget you, ever".
