Samantha Ronson's attorney denies rumors that Sam's family has sought a restraining order against Lindsay Lohan from Beverly Hills police.
Splitting from
Lindsay Lohan,
Samantha Ronson doesn't need any help from the law in order to protect herself from her ex-girlfriend. "Samantha has no plan to request a restraining order. There is no basis for one," David Bass, Sam's attorney, tells People denying rumors that the 31-year-old deejay's family has asked a restraining order from police.
"Sam does not want a restraining order against Lindsay Lohan. Sam had nothing to do with the restraining order against Lindsay that the police are talking about," a source states. "Sam and Lindsay are broken up, but Sam does not feel she's in any danger whatsoever. She thinks the whole thing is absurd".
Previously, Samantha Ronson's mother and sister, Ann Dexter-Jones and Charlotte Ronson, reportedly asked Beverly Hills police to issue a restraining order against Lindsay Lohan so that the "
Mean Girls" actress can't get closer to Sam. "They were directed to the court to get a restraining order," Beverly Hills Sgt. Nutall told Us Magazine on Monday, April 6.
Rumors on the couple's break-up sparked as Sam and family have banned Lohan to come into the "I Heart Ronson" bash, an event to celebrate Charlotte's clothing line, at Bar Marmont in West Hollywood on Friday, April 3. Although the 22-year-old star was blocked from the party, another source claims that she and Sam "are totally communicating".
