Ed Westwick reportedly struggled to decrease his weight as he has "packed on some pounds lately". "Ed has been gaining a lot of weight, not just around the waist, but through the whole body," a source tells In Touch Weekly.

In addition, the source also claims that costume designers on the set of his TV series "Gossip Girl" and the series' fans also complained about his weight gain. "First, the costume department had to buy him new, bigger pants. Then, his shirts and jackets got way too snug," the source continues. "The costumers even requested that producers talk to Ed - they don't want Chuck to be fat!"

Unlike the In Touch Weekly source who tells about Ed's weight gain, another source tells Radar Online that the report is untrue. "That's the first I've heard of that. We're not even in production. We wrapped last month," the source says.

In another news, Ed Westwick, who is believed to be dating Jessica Szohr, modeled Scottish man-skirt alongside some models and musicians at "Dressed to Kilt" charity fashion show in N.Y.C. last month. Admitting that he had never worn the traditional costume before, the 21-year-old got nervous when he was walking down the runway. "I'm going to be shy and wear my underwear," he stated before the show.
