Though he loves music very much, "High School Musical" hunk Zac Efron admits he hasn't thought about starting a career in music industry. "I've always been a fan of music. I love it. It's my life, but at the same time, it's not necessarily my passion to an extent where I want to create it and put it out there," he tells MTV News. "I think that potentially it could be someday. I think the day I could make an album is the day I could write and produce it on my own terms and when I have the skills and wisdom to do it."
Revealing that he loves listening to Kasabian, Asher Roth, and Radiohead, the "17 Again" actor says he likes all genres of music. "[I listen to] anything and everything," he states, adding "It's all musicals!" Besides, the 21-year-old Disney star also opens up that his favorite recent concert was "Down Under" by Kings of Leon. "I just saw the Kings of Leon in Australia. They do a great show. It's just music," he testifies.
Recently, Zac Efron had a chance to work with one of his favorite bands Yeah Yeah Yeahs on "Saturday Night Live". Unfortunately, he missed the opportunity as he was "too busy" to watch Yeah Yeah Yeahs' performance last week.
"I missed the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' show. They were here, and I was invited," he says. "I had to get up early and do talk shows, so I was a good person. There were some other songs I wanted to hear [that they didn't perform on 'SNL']."
