Ellen Pompeo of 'Grey's Anatomy' Pregnant, Sporting Visible Baby Bump

A baby is on the way for "Grey's Anatomy" actress Ellen Pompeo and her husband Chris Ivery. The expectant parents have announced the baby news through the screen beauty's representative Jennifer Allen, who told People the pair is "ecstatic" about their upcoming first child.

No record on how months along Ellen has been carrying the baby. Rumors has it, she is expected to give birth in fall/winter.

Hot on the heels of the outing of her pregnancy news, Ellen Pompeo was spotted sporting a visible baby bump while grocery shopping at Whole Foods in West Hollywood on Sunday, April 19. During the outing, the pregnant actress was snapped wearing a long purple dress combined with a pair of flat sandals. Her music producer husband was nowhere to be seen.

Meeting each other for the first time at a Los Angeles grocery store in 2003, Ellen Pompeo and Chris Ivery began dating about six months later. The couple became engaged in November 2006 after three years of dating and they then tied the knot in November 2007.
