Audrina Patridge Being 'Angel for Animal' on PETA's Ad Campaign
covers People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)'s latest ad campaign. She appears as an angel who wears a white bikini and holds a rescued pooch named Speedy Gonzalez. There is a tagline in the ad, saying "Be an Angel for Animals. Always Adopt. Never Buy."

Supporting animal adoption, Audrina suggests animal owners adopting homeless animals rather than buying furry animals from pet shops. It is written on the ad, "Buying animals means killing animals...Each year, six to eight million unwanted dogs and cats are turned in to shelters, and half are killed because there aren't enough good homes."

"I wanted to get involved with PETA because I've always been passionate about animals, and I think this is a great way to make people and all my fans aware of all the animals that need a home," the reality TV star says during the photo shoot. "And a lot of people go to pet stores and breeders to buy their animals, but you should adopt, so go to an animal shelter and rescue a dog."

Additionally, "The Hills" beauty also promotes animal birth control by urging pet owners to spay and neuter their pets in order to prevent any unwanted birth. The new ad from PETA is scheduled to be unveiled in Los Angeles on Wednesday, April 22.
