Christina Applegate secures the 1st position on People magazine's annual list of 100 Most Beautiful People in 2009, being credited for her battle with breast cancer.

Christina Applegate tops the annual list of 100 Most Beautiful People in 2009 which is compiled by People magazine. She is credited for her effort to battle breast cancer last year.
The 37-year-old star underwent double mastectomy in July 2008 and re-constructive breast surgery in November the same year. "You have to get through the physical transformations then buck up, go to work and try to be the normal, happy Christina for everyone around you," she says about her breast cancer battle.
In further interview with the magazine, Christina admits that her Dutch bass player lover Martyn LeNoble has given her many support. "He's been a friend for about 13 years," she states. "Our relationship gets stronger and stronger. I'm really lucky."
Beside Christina, several Hollywood stars also make the list of People's 100 Most Beautiful People in 2009. "

Robert Pattinson secures the 10 position.

Freida Pinto,
Christina Aguilera, additionally, are included in the list, which is featured on the magazine's newest issue published on Friday, May 1.
