Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey and Kris Allen beat Allison Iraheta to go to the 'American Idol' top three.
Danny Gokey, outnumbering
Allison Iraheta in votes, is joining
Adam Lambert and
Kris Allen to go a step ahead of "American Idol" competition. The battle continues on May 12, with all three male finalists.
Kris, whom Simon Cowell keeps insisting as being too humble, was the first to be declared safe. Then, Adam who looked comfortable, secured another place in the top three. The last ticket went to Danny who confessed, "I laughed the whole night," when he replayed the video of his "Dream On" performance on the show that night.
Next week, each of the finalists will bring two songs, one is the judges' choice and the other is their personal favorite. Before that, Kris, Adam and Danny will head to their hometowns for the requisite local-makes-good lovefest, during which the local administrator usually announces what song the judges want them to sing on the next show.
