Katy Perry Has Acne Scars, Hides Them With Make-Up

Katy Perry is self-conscious about her acne scars, she admits in an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine. "I got acne at the start of my career. It was a stressful time," she explains. "I have acne scars. I'm self-conscious about that, so sometimes I wear too much makeup to cover them up".

Asked if she is feeling insecure about the scars, she says, "They were trying to fit me into this mold but I wanted to be myself. I guess quirkiness doesn't translate so well to the masses. " She is quick to add, "I came out of the box trying to be approachable, though. I have insecurities like anyone."

Still in the same interview, Katy Perry also opens up that she prefers being in a relationship to being alone. About that matter, she explains, "I live this fantastic life, full of all these magical things, and at the end of the day all I want to do is pick up my phone and share it with someone."

She goes on telling Cosmopolitan that she does want to get married, but not any time soon. "Last night I was thinking, 'Is it wrong for me to want to marry soon and have that feeling?' I wonder when that person is going to present himself to me," she says when talking about how she perceives marriage . "To me, marriage isn't about bank accounts and houses - it's about finding the one you can hitch your hip to and build on each other's strengths."
