After crowned as the new "American Idol" champion on May 20, Kris Allen was caught at the backstage and got a question of how he feels his personal life will change after the night he won the title. Here is Kris' answer: "I think that hopefully me and my wife will get some more time together, not being in Arkansas as much as I was."
After the finale, Kris said to reporters, "Ah, we can be married," as he faced his wife Katy, to whom he gave a celebratory kiss after winning the "Idol". The 23-year-old Arkansas guy added, "We haven't been able to be married for the last nine months. She's amazing. She's just the coolest chick in the world. Hopefully, me and my wife will get to spend some more time together."
When asked about what he plans to do next, Kris said, "I'm going to Disney World!" Kris, as the newly crowned "American Idol", has signed a deal with Disney to appear in an advertisement for the park's new American Idol Experience attraction at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The young humble man also said that he can't wait to get in the studio and get to work.
