Mel Gibson Confirms His Girlfriend's Pregnancy

Mel Gibson finally confirms that his Russian girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva currently is expecting their first child. The father of seven talked about the matter at "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno", aired on Monday, May 25.

"I guess I'm 'Octo-Mel,'" he stated. Asked about his willingness to tie the knot with Oksana, the 53-year-old star answered, "Why would you get married twice?"

In the same interview, Gibson dished on his failed marriage with wife of more than 28 years Robyn Moore, who filed for a divorce 6 weeks ago. "My wife and I, our marriage ended three years ago and we've been separated ever since then. These things happen," he admitted.

"It's unfortunate, it's sad, but you know she is an admirable woman -- we still got kids together, we're friends," he continued, adding "Look. When it's all said and done, I did a pretty good hatchet job on my marriage myself. I'm to blame. If you're inclined to judge, put it here."

Mel Gibson and 39-year-old beauty Oksana Grigorieva began dating less than a year ago. Last month, both of them made their first public appearance as a couple during "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" premiere at the Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood, California.
