Mike Tyson's 4-year-old daughter, Exodus Tyson, is in critical condition after found hanging from a treadmill cord.
Mike Tyson's daughter, Exodus Tyson, is in critical condition after found by her brother hanging from a treadmill cord on Monday, May 25, around 10:30 A.M. The 4-year-old girl is on life support after found on the exercise machine with her neck on its power cable, according to Phoenix Police Sgt. Andy Hill.
The girl's mother was in a separate room when the "tragic accident" happened. She sent her 7-year-old son to find his sister and he found her in distress. The boy then alerted her mother who immediately took the cable off her daughter, called 911 and tried to revive her. Paramedics eventually arrived on Tyson's Phoenix house and performed CPR on the girl, who was rushed to nearby St. Joe's Hospital.
Phoenix Police are investigating the case, but so far, they believe the incident was accidental. "Somehow she was playing on this treadmill, and there's a cord that hangs under the console - it's kind of a loop. Either she slipped or put her head in the loop, but it acted like a noose, and she was obviously unable to get herself off of it," as explained by Hill.
Tyson, who was in Las Vegas when the accident happened, flew to Phoenix immediately after learning of the accident. And at time of writing, he has arrived at the hospital. Up to date, it is reported that Exodus remains on life support in "extremely critical condition."
